316 stainless steel shade sail fixings
A shade sail must be firmly tensioned between strong anchor points. Our fixing kits bring together the principal components needed for an adjustable installation: turnbuckles, snap hooks and pad eyes or eye anchors.
All components in our kits are made from marine-grade 316 stainless steel for excellent corrosion resistance and durable outdoor use.
Shade sail fixing kits
Choose a 3-point kit for a triangular sail or a 4-point kit for a square or rectangular sail, then select the appropriate anchor type.
3-point fixing kits for triangular shade sails
Currently available kits for triangular shade sails.
4-point fixing kits for square and rectangular shade sails
Currently available kits for four-corner shade sails.
How does a shade sail fixing system work?
Each sail corner connects to a structurally suitable anchor point using fittings that provide secure connection and precise tension adjustment.

Turnbuckle
Progressively tensions the sail and allows accurate adjustment.

Snap hook
Provides a quick, removable connection.
Pad eye or eye anchor
Creates the anchor point according to the structure.
316 stainless steel
Marine-grade corrosion resistance for long-term outdoor use.
Pad eye or eye anchor?
The correct choice depends on the support. Screws, plugs, bolts or anchors must suit the material and loads.
Pad-eye kit
A surface-mounted eye plate fixed to a suitable structure.
Eye-anchor kit
An alternative anchor arrangement where appropriate.
Allow 280–365 mm between the sail and anchor point
With our standard fittings, normally allow 280–365 mm at each corner.
Do not choose a sail exactly the same size as the distance between anchor points.
Longer gaps can be bridged with suitably rated steel cable or chain.

Correct tension is part of the installation
A correctly tensioned sail holds its intended form and moves less in the wind.
Adjust turnbuckles progressively and evenly.
The installation guide also covers anchors, posts, fixing heights and slope.
